Established in 2003, MPM is Missouri’s number one choice for medical professional liability insurance and provides comprehensive coverage to nearly one-third of all Missouri physicians. This strength in numbers empowers our member physicians to do what they do best focus, worry free, on the effective practice of medicine to serve Missouri citizens with quality medical care. We are here, first and foremost, to help protect the assets, financial integrity and reputations of our physician-policyholders in the event of a claim. And should a claim be deemed justified, we are equally responsible for quickly and quietly paying the patient a fair settlement.

To maintain cost-effective premiums and create maximum market leverage, nearly 70 percent of our member insureds are rated in the low-risk categories of Class 2 or below. In fact, no category above Class 2 represents greater than 7 percent of our total risk pool. Quite simply, there is safety and strength in our numbers, brought about largely through a process of selective underwriting.
